追放するカードが土地に限定されており、しかも3マナと重いため非常に使いづらい。スレッショルド対策としては明らかに不足であり、土を食うもの/Terravore対策としても1人のプレイヤーの墓地からしか追放しないため不完全。初出時は使い道が少なく、しかもレアということで非常に評価が低かった。
後のエキスパンションにおいて、忘却蒔き/Oblivion Sowerや昇華者のような追放領域にある対戦相手がオーナーであるカードを利用するカードや、世界のるつぼ/Crucible of Worldsや壌土からの生命/Life from the Loam、聖遺の騎士/Knight of the Reliquaryなど、墓地の土地カードを活用するカードが増えたことで多少はマシになった。しかしそれでもこの範囲の狭さと重さがネックであることに変わりはなく、より軽く範囲の広い墓地対策カードが多数存在する以上、使われることはまずないだろう。
