機械の父祖/Father of Machinesとはファイレクシア/Phyrexiaの最高司令官。かつてはヨーグモス/Yawgmothがその座にあった。
ヨーグモスの死後、ミラディンの傷跡ブロックの時代には、カーン/Karnが新たな機械の父祖に祀り上げられている。
ただし、法務官/Praetorの一人である核の占い師、ジン＝ギタクシアス/Jin-Gitaxias,Augur of the Coreはカーンを信用せず、別の者を機械の父祖の座につけようとしている。
